​Chris Stamper is is the President and Principal of Sixteen Mile Strategy Group.  A dynamic executive and industry recognized leader with deep experience and understanding in multiple business disciplines including digital transformation; consumer engagement; strategic growth and brand marketing, product ownership; corporate strategy, retail distribution and sales leadership.

Chris is known for leading transformative change in dynamic and fast paced environments to set businesses up for short term and long term success.  A strategic thinker with the ability to quickly understand a business and drive results and outcomes, Chris’s approach, leverages data, analytics and insights to deliver superior customer experiences and measurable positive business results.  Through  innovation and creativity as a catalyst to disrupt and challenge conventional approaches, Chris helps organizations chart a new path.

Most recently Chris was Senior Vice President, Marketing, Loyalty and Credit at Hudson’s Bay, North America’s oldest retailer.  As a key member of the Executive Committee, Chris worked as a strategic thought partner for the omni Hudson’s Bay business, identifying strategic growth opportunities to help drive the evolution of the business, accelerate results and reach our customer. Chris also served as SVP Strategy and Transformation at HBC

Chris is a former Senior Vice President with TD Bank.  Chris held a number of progressively senior roles in a variety of areas across the bank over a 30 year career, including SVP Corporate Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer.  Accountable for brand and marketing strategy, digital and social marketing, sponsorship and for creating the framework that defines the customer experience across all businesses and segments in Canada.  Chris also led Target Marketing, and Sponsorship for TD Bank US, working with a cross border team of over 120 people.  In his role as CMO, Chris led a team of 120 marketing professionals in the development of strategies and tactics for all lines of business; Wealth Management, Insurance and Personal and Business Banking, to maximize overall marketing achievements in support of TDBG objectives and business results. In addition to his marketing roles, Chris has held senior roles in Product Management, Operations, Contact Centres and Retail Banking.  Chris was responsible for overseeing TD’s 180 branch retail operations in the Greater Toronto Area, as Senior Vice President, Metro East Region for TD Canada Trust.

 

Chris received his undergraduate degree from Western University, his MBA from the University of Toronto Rotman School and completed the Advanced Management Programme at Insead.


Chris volunteers with the Canadian Marketing Association and was past Chair of the Board of Directors.  Chris is on the Board of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.   

 

Chris lives in Oakville, Ontario with his wife and is a part time empty nester with his two children.
